SECRET NUMBER SIX(奥秘六)

Sound therapy requires a comprehensive understanding.

The field of sound therapy is very large. It includes many methods from using music to reduce stress to using vibration to change the frequency of the body. Sound therapy is just like the sound itself – there are many kinds of sound. Just as there are many tones on a scale there are many types of sound therapy. Some therapies even combine two or more methods. Therefore, having a fundamental understanding of each therapy can increase people’s interest in sound therapy.

1. Reading aloud or silently reciting incantations, scriptures and mantras.
Without a doubt, this is the oldest method of sound therapy. Some special words or phrases can show this kind of vibration. This therapy is resonance speech therapy. In this way, people can chant some special mantras silently. This kind of sound can harmonize people’s body, emotions, mind and spirit, thus achieving balance and restoring health.

2. Voice therapy.
In voice therapy, one’s own voice is used to sense the imbalanced parts of the body and mind, make them resonate and restore health. This is also one of the most effective exercises especially for those who don’t know how or don’t have time to use complicated equipment. We are using this method all the time, for example as whimpering and groaning when in pain.

3. Music therapy.
Music can make sick people calm and help them concentrate. It has a good effect on reducing stress and pain, but it is important to note that music therapy is not suitable for all situations.

4. Resonance frequency therapy.
This therapy is based on the fact that every part of the body has a resonance frequency. If the body is out of balance the resonance frequency may manifest in the body’s organs.

5. Acoustic induction.
This method can cure stress, emotional problems and learning disabilities, thus resulting in relaxation, increased awareness and improved learning ability.

6. Improved hearing.
Some sound frequencies make the ears, brain and body tired, while others do the opposite. Hearing amplifiers, earphones and similar devices that allow the ears and brain to hear more sound frequencies can treat learning disabilities, dyslexia and emotional imbalances. This can develop increase strength and develop language learning abilities.

7. Speech analysis therapy.
This therapy focuses on analyzing the voice to determine the missing frequencies and helps bring them back to balance. The frequencies deficient in the person’s voice are related to physical and mental imbalances.

8. Listening to vibration therapy.
In this therapy the person undergoing the treatment is to lie on a specially set table, chair or bed. Then the person receives a special relaxing frequency or music.

9. Tuning fork balancing therapy.
This therapy uses tuning forks to relax and balance. Two kinds of metal tuning forks are used to generate a special frequency that is placed over the problem site or three inches away from the ear. This sound affects the ears, brain and nervous system, and allows the person being treated to achieve balance and harmony.

10. Sonic acupuncture therapy.
This kind of therapy uses sound instead of acupuncture or moxabustion to ‘prick’ the acupoints. Compared with the previous method, here the tuning fork is actually in contact with the skin. This method integrates the acupuncture point system of Chinese medicine.

In addition to the methods mentioned above, humans integrate into nature, listen to the wind, rain, thunder, insects and animals, and all the sounds of the five elements in the natural world. As well as making numerous sounds related to human emotions such as happiness, anger, sorrow and joy. Through these, humans head towards perceiving things, healing themselves and opening up to wisdom.

There are important questions to ask yourself. For example, everyone has heard the sound of water such as the sound of a waterfall or stream, water flowing in the water tap, the sound of waves reaching the beach and crashing on the rocks, the sound of raindrops falling on the leaves and other objects with different speed and size, and the sound of bubbles, fish, turtles, etc. when diving. How long can I listen meditatively, focused, in stillness and with a peaceful heart? How long should it take? What are my goals and what is my purpose?
